 Course Description: Basic, intermediate and advanced relational database concepts. Topics will include creating, maintaining and querying databases, creating forms and reports and integration of Access with other programs. MS Office Certification level user skills.  

Basic and Intermediate skills

Maintaining  databases: Creating, modifying and updating  tables, queries and forms
Databases and relationships
Database wizards
Create tables, define fields, using primary key and foreign key
Understanding referential integrity and a relationship between two tables
Copying records from another database
Querying databases: Retrieving Information, sorting, selection criteria
Creating a report and labels using Report Wizard

Advanced skills

Creating Forms (sub-forms and main forms): Creating an order data form, a customer form, and a customers 
Calculated fields, aggregate functions, logical operators and performing calculations
Customizing Reports, integrating  Access with Other Programs
Creating  custom Reports and Forms
Working with controls
Calculating Group totals and overall totals
Embedding a chart in a report
 Linking a Word document in a Report
Exporting a Access database Table as an Excel spreadsheet
Automating tasks with macro's
